Peter Allen

Peter has over 30 years experience selling and delivering complex information systems and services to the Public Sector. He currently holds a leading role with Sixfold International delivering consultancy, training, bid and project management. Before joining Sixfold, Peter was assigned as the bid manager in the Public Sector Group of the UK subsidiary of a major multinational information services consulting and systems integration organisation. During this period Peter managed 17 significant bids of which 13 were successful. Previously to this role Peter managed the final award stages of award of a £3.6M framework contract with a Local Authority, project managed delivery start-up and the first engagement. Before then, Peter programme managed a complex £30M bid and deliver programme with a UK Police force, taking nine concurrent projects through to delivery and customer acceptance.

From 1994 to 2002 Peter held the post of European Public Sector Marketing Manager then Public Sector Business Development Director for Europe and Middle East in a multinational information systems and services company. He trained and coached the selling and bid teams in 14 European countries. He was a guest lecturer at the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) in Maastricht during this period.

During the period 1990 to 1994 Peter was the European Public Sector Marketing Manager of a large multinational IT systems company. He developed, programme managed and delivered three major training programmes for over 400 sales and services employees across Europe as part of a company strategy to execute a significant change of corporate direction. He partnered with EIPA to align the programme closely with changing practices in EU Public Sector.

Before this Peter was employed as a development engineer and project manager in systems engineering companies then in sales, account management and business management posts.
