Steve Harrington
Steve Harrington has run his own business as a Management and Development Consultant for a number of years and now has joined Sixfold as its Training Quality Manager. He has a range of personal customers which include DuPont, EADS, Teijin Films, Birmingham Centro, British American Tobacco, BT, Novations Inc and Connexions.
Steve main focus is to provide customised training solutions in:

Steve's career has spanned retail, manufacturing, oil and chemical industries. He has held a number of senior positions in retail and customer service management, sales management, manufacturing, quality and continuous improvement, and training and development. Before starting his independent business he worked in the training and development field for 25 years punctuated by several periods holding key commercial roles. The combination of development and business roles provides a unique focus and reality to the work he now does as a consultant.
His last in-company roles were Europe - Middle East and Africa Training and Development Manager for a global Science and Technology company employing over 100,000 employees, and Leader for Training, Development and Continuous Improvement for a major oil company.
Steve brings Sixfold a wealth of experience across many disciplines. He has a strong belief in providing practical development solutions. His strengths are in design and delivery of training solutions particularly in the areas of leadership, teambuilding, communication, coaching, intercultural awareness, interpersonal skills and career development. Facilitation of management groups needing to define strategy and delivering organisational change processes has been a key skill along with coaching individuals and teams.
Developing high performing teams has been an area of expertise for several years. Steve is often called to facilitate the improvement of dysfunctional teams and the development of new teams. Key to this has been an ongoing involvement as a tutor with the Leadership Trust in the UK. Many of the teams that he has worked with have been multi-national and from many different areas from business to the military.
Throughout his career Steve has maintained a hands-on approach to development, enjoying the design & delivery of training solutions driven by company needs. His experience is quite unique by virtue of the combination of knowledge of development at all levels, combined with a firm grounding in business awareness. Currently leading the accreditation process for a major UK high street Bank.
For Sixfold Steve brings expertise in the areas of the Learning Cycle, Learning Styles, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Emotional Intelligence and Experiential Learning Techniques. The training he received from Xerox and Guardian Business School ensures that its team's awareness and understanding of the Psychology of Learning is grounded in well proven and contemporary methods and techniques. Steve is ideally placed to ensure the quality of Sixfold's training events planned for its clients.
